Painting trim I would imagine not to be that difficult. I've painted my grill and headlight chrome inserts and they turned out really good. It takes time to make it look good though. You'll need some high grit sand paper to sand off the gray paint that is already on the trim pieces. I used a couple coats of primer on the things i painted on my car just to make the paint stick a little better. I would practice on some scrap plastic if you have any, and are inexperienced with rattle cans. It takes time to get a good technique going. I would allow 45 mins in between each coat of paint depending on the temp of the room your painting in. Also if you want it to look really good you can hit it with some clear coat. To paint both my headlights and grill it cost me about 25 bucks, thats a bargin compared to $346 in my book. Good luck with your decision.
