Painting Interior Trim
I planing on Making my car look like a S203 WRX
I found on Japanparts.com A whole kit to Change My stock Trim to Black 346.00
Now is it Easy to paint the trim or should I just buy the kit?
Any feed back is really helpful
Painting trim I would imagine not to be that difficult. I've painted my grill and headlight chrome inserts and they turned out really good. It takes time to make it look good though. You'll need some high grit sand paper to sand off the gray paint that is already on the trim pieces. I used a couple coats of primer on the things i painted on my car just to make the paint stick a little better. I would practice on some scrap plastic if you have any, and are inexperienced with rattle cans. It takes time to get a good technique going. I would allow 45 mins in between each coat of paint depending on the temp of the room your painting in. Also if you want it to look really good you can hit it with some clear coat. To paint both my headlights and grill it cost me about 25 bucks, thats a bargin compared to $346 in my book. Good luck with your decision.
i thought the same thing...then a slapped myself after for seriously considering spending 300 on dash plastic. Paint it yourself, nothing is worth that amount of money. Not to mention painting it is EASY. i choose plasti-dip and it looks like this...
So how long has it been and did it scratch off yet?
Yeah 300 for plastic crazy but I dont know how I would do these
