new goodies for WRX

Howdy! I ordered the front lip spoiler and the SPT boost gauge for my 09 WRX.. Does anyone have these already and how do you like them? just curious..I think it's gonna be AWESOME. Ordered them from Aaron at Camp Subaru in Spokane..they're pretty easy to deal with..

The stock boost gauge is pretty crappy if you ask me. Mine was already in when I got my car. Its measure in Mpa, so you have to know the conversion for that, or know where to look for the boost to be correct, plus its a mechanical type gauge not an electrical type. But as long as you are happy with it, thats all that matters.

Yea i agree with Josh..i would take the SPT if it was free, but the amount of money you paid for that you could get a nice unit from another company.

so stock its not even funny...just kinda sad :(

Are you sure the new ones for 08+ are still mechanical? I was thinking they changed to a sensor type...?

Um, I think the SPT guage isn't what your looking at josh. The stocker on our MY is this:

And the SPT for the 08+ MY is this:

As far as I know, most boost controllers are tapped off the bpv. I could be wrong.

Well, I stand corrected. Thanks Kirt. Im still not up to par with everything on the newer model WRX/STI. Looks like a decent gauge, finally.

Well its nicer than the previous one used for the older models. And the old one was just shy of $200 if I recall.
