Alrighty then...well i found out how much insurance is going to reemberce me and the good news is its almost double what i payed through auction unfortunately i dont have the time to go through auction find a crashed car fix it and so on...however i did stumble upon a 03 bugeye high 50's in mileage all internals stock except for a sri and bov which i will remove back to stock..ok heres the hitter... the car looks brilliant clean paint 18'' rims brand new tired coil overs but it has a rebuilt title and he is asking 11 now i know for a fact rebuilt title destroys retail value so what do yall think i should pay for this car? maybe 9000?

There's no real value index for salvaged titles. Ballpark is 50% of KBB which I would imagine would be more like 6-7k for that car. I'd only pay more if I could verify the quality of the repairs performed on it.

Might be worth it to just get a $500 go car until you find a GOOD WRX. Sure it'll be $1000ish after licensing the beater...but do you really want to pick up your tuner-daily driver that's supposed to last you a long time on an impulse? It would cut your WRX budget down a grand, but I think you'de make up for it with careful searching.

I just drove a beater for 3 long months while waiting to finish my baby, it just made it all that much more sweet to drive it after the wait.

With a go car that would give you the time to check out of state a little, and make travel arrangements to go get one if you find one that is a ways away. Or just keep an eye out locally, I think you'de be less tempted to settle then.

BTW, how's the weather? My wife and I almost bought tickets to go on a cruise that left from Miami in a week but once we heard about the hurricanes we decided to get one from LA. The tickets were the same price though, wierd.
