Ya, I was thinking about a DVD head unit on my WRX too. I think it would be pretty nice... I spend enough time in my car as it is, plus when I'm waiting around, I could watch a flick or install my PS2 in my car and play a game. But, of course, they're outragously expensive. I was thinking about a flip up screen if I were to get one.

That one seems nice, but I don't know too much about them.. yet. 22watt RMS is decent. I'd preferbably want more power unless you are using an external amp which is what I think I'm gonna do. 1.4k seems pricey, atleast too pricey for me. I was looking at around 1.1k to 1.2k for one.

I'm torn between one of my friends being like.. "comeon, how sweet would it be to play playstation in your car." while the other one's like "that's a waste, save your money and get one withmp3 playback because it something you won't use to it's full extent or need."

It's like a 1k price difference that I could spend on other mods. What am I to do??
*sigh* !Cry!

for the price of the head unit, do what im gonna do. Buy a carputer and install a 7" touchscreen. There you can play mp3, video, xbox, work...WHATEVER!! and It's gonna cost me like $800 for a whole lot more that what your gonna get. Just make sure you get a slot loading DVD so you can put it on the dash, and so that it doesn't spit that ugly computer tray everytime you eject a CD. Also, the other reason I wanna buy a computer over a standalone, is to later connect the UTEC and mod it right there, AND watch the graphs of the car performance.

If you need any specifics on the carputer just ask

I have a Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD in my car that I'm thinking of getting rid of. If any of you are interested, let me know....

I bought an Alpine 7" indash, and I must say that it was the biggest waste of money I've put into my car. The novelty wore off after a week, and I realized I could have spent that $2000 on something useful. Stupid impulse and stupid tweeter giving me good credit.

$750 is enough money for a very good dyno tune and maybe a RSB.
