JDM Projectors

having the JDM projector lights is great and they really look tough from the outside, especially with the fog lights. HOWEVER, them being designed for a RHD car means that intead of being designed to shine off to the right a bit toward the ditch, they shine to the left, directly at oncoming traffic. I have people flashing their high beams at me all the time, even from across the median on the highway, not a big deal to me really.. BUT, police do not take kindly to having your lights shined directly into their eyes as you drive toward them, as I found out tonight, when I was pulled over... just a bit of a warning for anyone that wants these lights... and now I'm off to figure out how to aim these babies down

You can get the control button that allows you to aim the direction of the headlights. They have a write up on Scoobymods.

I'm pretty sure that's only for HIDs. What you should have done is buy the European STi Lights. Same look, but LHD pattern.

they were on the car when I bought it, and I only test drove it in the daytime.... so I didn't recognize the problem until after the fact...not a big deal for now, the car is 100% stock and legal, I don't think they can ticket me for having bright lights... just don't want to attract much attention after the mods start, so til then I'll be looking for some alternatives

Actually, they can ticket you since you are not using DOT specific lights, which is another reason the European STi Lights are the way to go, they actually say 'DOT' approved, even though it's not OUR DOT that approved them. Confused yet? hehe

Where can a person pick up some of the euro headlights? I assume its a pretty penny.

oh by the way, I took my car in to the dealer to see if they could aim the lights any better... they said they got it right, but I don't really notice any difference... and upon further inspection my lights are stamped with both DOT and Subaru... dunno what's up with them now
