this is awsome, im new to all this stuff so bare with me, but do you have to take off and remove the part you want cf send it to your guy and then he makes a copy but in cf or just tell him make/model/year and what u want and he makes it...im not sure how the creating of cf parts happens

You would have to ship him your parts 99% of the time, so he can make a mold than replicate.

Randy is right about the process. Unless the person has made the part before (even then would have had to keep a mold/template). Making things out of fiberglass/CF is a fun thing to do. It can be time consuming and messy depending on how its done.

^ yes they do. Imprezas have a heavy steel hood, wrx's have aluminum hoods that are lighter than cf, not saying it doesn't look good in cf, I just wouldn't put dumbells in my trunk. If that makes any sense.

Make him the template then. That saves half the time of making something out of CF/fiberglass. Just get some sturdy cardboard or something like that and shape it the way you want, send some dimensions (i.e thickness) and the part should still be able to be made.

When I made fiberglass stuff in the past, I used plaster of Paris and aluminum foil sometimes to make molds
