Intercooler Screen

Hey all,
Anyone have an ideas where to get a high quality intercooler screen that will protect the intercooler from bugs, rocks, etc. Ebay doesn't have much to offer that I like.

I'd go with this one. I bought it and there is NO WAY anything will dent your fins. It's made of steel.

vividracing.com has one for 24.99 but it goes into your hood scoop instead of over your intercooler

My FMIC is in good condition no damages so the screen really works well, and you can make one just go to home depot and buy some gutter shield for $1.50 you just have to remove the hood scoop and starts from there.....btw it's for bird shield too......

I think the one in the scoop is a better idea because it keeps all that debris out of the engine bay not just off the intercooler.

I use the Grillcraft hood scoop insert on my WRX...

it's solid.. steel/powdercoated...
NOT flimsy gutter guard/aluminum mesh <-----

stuff is expensive, but it works!!!
i'd buy it again anyday - got it as soon as they were available.

can view/order here:

Well I am gonna bump this thread from 5 months ago. I have an 04 wrx with the bigger hood scoop. The paper that was on the window didn't say STi hoodscoop but it is bigger than the 02-03's. I am looking for a screen for the intercooler. I'd like one that fits in the hood scoop but if not one for just over intercooler. And I'd rather not make my own haha.
