Hood Pins

Hey, I am looking for hood pins for my WRX, some one backed into me and so i upgraded to a carbon hood and i hear hood pins are recommended and i cant seem to find any all black hood pins which is what im looking for. Ive seen a lot that are mostly black and some aluminum but i want all black. if anyone has a site they know of where i can find them i would greatly appriciate it. thank you.

Hood pins are a good idea, especially with an aftermarket hood. I have seen and heard WAY too many horror stories not to spend the extra $20. I'm sure 9d2TSi has seen all the horror on DSMtuners.

Hahaha, it's funny that you say that. I would say around 10-20 percent of the people that have them over there have had the latches fail. I made sure that when I installed my carbon hood I pinned it. Those hoods are just too dang expensive, not too mention the windshield and body work that you have to fix if and when they fail.

Hell, I'm considering putting hood pins in my stock hood. It popped up at 80mph during a hard bounce. Scared the crap outta me!

I haven't had mine pop up on me yet, but I too have considered putting them in my stock hood on SEVERAL occasions. If I wasn't selling my car, I probably would do it now.
