You're calling the newer WRX HU horrible? Don't ever drive an older Impreza. The newer model's sound systems are vastly better than the fully optioned out stereos that were available on the older models.
Really?! Lol...my goodness! You can turn mine up all the way and have a convo with someone in the back seat without raising voices lmao...that's a problem. My gf has an 02 RS but only 1 speaker works so I'd have no idea. She says it just happened one day lol! I basically only listen to Pandora off my iPhone anyways in mine, and with a monster cable connection it sounds MUCH better than if you were listening to say the radio or cd.
Nice you definitely have to post pics when you get that installed. Dont know if you have a local place where you are going to buy this from but if not use crutchfeild.com they are good. If you geet all your wires and what not places will charge less to install.
Luckily my best friend works for an audio installer here in MA so the install is always free except a 12 pack or something. I will also posts pics after the install...prob toward the fall time. Def liking yours too though, it's very clean looking which IMO is important. Nice upgrade though man!
The Pioneer navi's aren't that much money. If money is really tight there are lots of older models, they've been around for years now. I don't know why people buy anything else.

Mine was only 150 but i got it for the bells n whiles got aux port and a port for a thumb drive I can store files on the thumb drive and have over thousands of songs. blue tooth so i can answer my phone n hear it though my speakers (if i want) and other features i cant seem to remember. of coarse the ricer touch too there is i think 150 diff colors i cant change the lights too ahaha.
