See alot of this stuff that we all ask about is subject to personal interpretation. Without showing pictures of this done all we have is what you personally think about it. Not letting each individual make up his/her mind for ones self doesnt seem right. I personally would like to see this done to an 02-07 subie and then make up my mind.

I clicked the link to the evo forum and the people who have done this mod basically look like they were in an accident. I am definitely not the target demographic for this one, it just looks awful.

People we complimenting a guy based on this picture... seriously.

I think those silly Evo owners are just trying to copy the front fender vents on the new STis

It looks like the front end is out of whack.. I don't like it but I'd like to see it done to a perhaps lighter colored *yellow or white* subaroo and see if it looks any different.
But also at the same time I don't even have a subaroo yet :thumbs down: soo...

Its like a cheap attempt at making it look like a wide body fender. To each their own...

Eh, I don't pay much attention to Evos these days anyway.. don't see too many of them on the road where I live. It always amazes me when people come up with different mods like this. I wonder what the next one will be - maybe somebody will try putting "speed holes" all over their hood with a pick axe like Homer Simpson did with his family car!

Garage
There's no reason to do this mod on a Subaru. The rear fenders are the clearance issue, not the fronts.

^And there is no reason to put carbon fiber hoods. Increase horse power, alter the suspension, swap brake components, install body kits, paint/coat engine components, etc... Yet we do it on a daily basis...

Chill out, loosen up...

When someone asks if they should install a carbon fiber hood Mosc will let them know if it is heavier than a stock hood for the model year. If someone is altering the suspension Mosc will let them know if they are decreasing performance. There are a lot of good reasons to swap brake components, but if someone is doing something that won't increase performance someone should tell them. If a body kit is less aerodynamic someone should tell them. If the paint they are using on their engine will chip quickly or cause other issues someone will tell them.

Some people might have been wondering why they should do this mod, those people now know that it is pretty much just cosmetic. More information is always better!
