Anyone else sucking in leaves and sticks through their hood scoops? Has anyone put in chicken wire or some kind of mesh to stop it? thanks for any help.

Haha, try driving from WA to KS, through all that damn country in the summer/fall time, lol. I had grasshoppers galore in my IC. But I have gotten a few leaves also. Grillecraft makes a piece and there are a few others I have seen with this. Im not sure how they attached it though.

booost, I have been looking for one for my 05 and have not been able to find one either. I drive gravel and the rocks are kicking the crap out of my IC. I have the same problem... How do I search for this part? Good Luck! Let me know if you find a site. Josh. I will have to look Grillcraft up!

What about finding a section of an asthetically pleasing mesh screen? Trace it out, but leave some tabs large enough to bend and put a screw in to attach to the lower portion of your scoop? Seems easy enough for me. Just my .02

Dang, I didnt know the piece was that much. I have never looked into it. Im sure a quick search on NASIOC and you could find several people making their own screen to put in the opening of the scoop.
