Engine Dress-Up

Hey, maybe a stupid question, but if i get the STI high pressure radiator cap, and Oil Cap, they are just dress-up right? I read some weird things on a site with the radiator cap. I dont want either affecting engine function, performance, cooling, or warranty, e.t.c.

Just some things i read, does this mean anything?

Item#: SUB-RC01
The radiator cap functions to increase the pressure inside the radiator; accordingly, even when the temperature of the coolant water exceeds 100 C, boiling can be avoided and increased cooling performance may be achieved.

STi radiator cap increases cooling system pressure to 1.8bar effectively raising the maximum operating temperature. Prevents boilover and coolant loss under the extreme operating conditions of race and rally. Also improves cooling system efficiency. Cooling system must be in excellent condition to withstand the additional pressure.

They can void your warranty if you make a copy of your car keys and you break the locks on the car, so it might void it. Just put the stock ones back on when you go in for service, but 99% chance that they wont.

I'm going with the gibberish theory.

At my dealership, they told me as long as it was a part made by Subaru, it's okay. But... it really depends on the dealership. I heard the same dealship doesn't really care, and the workers asked a buddy of mine what and what brand mods he put in when he got it serviced. They were impressed needless to say. Mod with care, but I seriously doubt you get in trouble for a STi radiator cap. Just say that your last one was leaking or something and a Subaru dealership gave your that one if you're confronted.
