Engine Bay is wrong blue??

I have an 05 that is world rally blue. The wierd thing is, the engine compartment and underside of the hood is a dark blue (like on the non-WRX). Every other part of the car (door jams, doors, behind the carpet in the trunk...) is the proper color. Any ideas on this? Anyone else notice this.
I know I should have noticed this earlier but it was dark when I purchased the car and I guess I have never paid any attention to it.

That's totally normal. I'm pretty sure Subaru does it to cut costs.

...if it (or some of it) were the same color as the outside, then it would be a telltale sign that the car's frontend has been repaired by a bodyshop.

Sleeper, that is what I was kind of thinking but the fact that everything else was the correct color really made me wonder.
