Debadging help?!
So I want to debadge my forester.
How would I go about this safely, I've seen way to man bs videos on how to do it, so i want someone with first hand experience on how to do it

I used a heat gun, fishing line and adhesive remover. Heat the emblem up and use the fishing line to slice threw the double sided tape. Then remove excess adhesive with the remover.

I wouldn't recommend fish line it could scratch the paint. Some people can get away with it but i wasn't taking any chances. I read that when I was looking to do mine. And my buddy told me it would as well. Heat gun with a little heat, get some wax flaws and wiggle it behind the parts you want to remove. Be patient and go slow. I used goo gone to get the rest of the sticky off. Then I would suggest washing the spots you did when you're done to make sure you got it all. Also wax where you took off the writing because its obviously never been since it was covered.

I started with fishing line on mine but realized that they pulled right off. I just pulled most if mine off with my hands and had minimal adhesive residue to clean off. Maybe i got lucky.

Hair dryer, dental floss, and something not harsh to remove the remaining stuff

Goo gone and floss is what I always use, besides on my 11, which I just twisted them all of than used goo gone.
The cleanup and waxing a few times is the hardest part IMHO

Alright guys, I will get some goo gone tomorrow and upload step by step for y'all

Yeah like others mentioned, I've had good results with Dental floss and Goo-Gone (I have never tried Fishing line).

Sometimes they come right off by hand though, so try that first!

Exactly like they are saying plus alot of elbow grease :) . I actually had my trunk wet sanded so there were not "ghost letters". Looks great. Good luck
