Choosing Paint

Factory paint jobs are 2-stage urethane paint, correct? I am planning on repainting my car pretty soon but I dont know what kind of paint would work best. Im planning on doing a color change from blue to white. Obviously with alot of prep work and sealer, can I just get away with using a single stage acrylic urethane? Ive used acrylic lacquer and a metallic urethane before.

It's base coat/clear coat. Single stage is old school, plus the effect won't be to par with even a stock paint job. Be sure to pop your moldings, lights and glass. Or suffer peeling possibilities.

Dont forget to take off door seals too. If it takes longer to mask it off then to remove it, then take it off man. One golden rule of painting
