Carbon fiber drive shaft!

I just saw n the new Super Street magazine that they have a carbon fiber drive shaft for the WRX, it's still a proto type but I thought that was pretty cool and just wanted to share that with you guy's

but wait... you can't see the driveshaft so why would you use the decorative material "Carbon Fiber"??

on the 350z the carbon driveshaft is used as a security devise, see it crushes and serves as a cushion in a head on collision for example, absorbing some energy at the moment of impact.

Well, reducing rotational mass is a good way to increase acceleration, but there are many other good ways to spend your money.


Once they make a driveshaft that keeps spinning after the car is stopped, then I'm getting one!
