Im not a fan of the "park bench" common to the STI. If you get some rims it can be an upgrade on several different levels. It offers the ability to get a wider rim/tire combo, can also be lighter than stock, and also like you are looking for add some asthetic appeal also.

Wheels! By getting wheel you are making your car more of a one-of-a-kind. You could get the wing and then see other like it driving around Iperfer the personal touch my self.

wheels will benefit your street performance more than a wing...it's a "no-brainer!"

Are you on the stock suspension? Some coilovers or springs wouldn't be a bad idea. It would majorly increase your cars handling(depending on which coilover/spring you went with) while also getting rid of some of that wheel gap.

if you have a tbe, you should consider some form of engine management..it will improve perfromance, run quality, gas mileage and all that good stuff....if u already have that, i would spend the money on wheels

Those 17in rota grids are awesome looking wheels, and I love the black on blue look.

Well considering everything that's been discussed I would say...

1) Engine Management
2) STI wing
3) Rims

As far as for the wing before the rims, I love the STI wing and so wish I could get it, but it wouldn't look to good on my wagon...I've just always like big spoilers and yes, I was one of "those" kids who had a spoiler on cars it didn't belong (90 Accord)...gimmie a break I was 16 lol...

The STi wing is really f-ing heavy. Really.... f-ing... heavy.

It also wobbles horribly at anything over 45mph and sits squarely in the center of your rear view. The best mod I ever did was getting rid of that stupid thing.

The debate never ends. It adds weight to the rear wheels in crappy weather. Take it from me, even in a AWD car. The ass end can come around in adverse conditions. It's still R&D'd and used in the rally events. Granted the rally cars had the wing stiffys/dividers in it to keep it still. So, it serves a purpose. If you look at it carefully enough. It's basically a spoiler/wing combo. Spoilers help you in straight line speed and wings help with turning IMHO. So, your opinions may vary. But, It's still a product pushed on the top line model. The STI limited is marketed towards luxury and Subaru put the rear spoiler lip on it. I am in no way saying the STI wing is a necessity though. To each his own...but, I'm not a fan of people trying to make their car look like a STI either. I mean that as nicely as possible. One wing isn't quite what I'm talking about. Its the guys that go all out on trying to cop the look.

That being said. Rims and good tires are a better mod. Especially if you're running the crappy RE92s. Get rid of those things ASAP. A form of EM is also a great thing to have. Back OT, sorry for the distraction there.
