Boost pressures?

I have an 05 wrx all stock just put a boost gauge in and in second gear at about 3k I'm getting 6lbs? Is that right? I'm thinking my hose could be to small and not reading right. Any help would be awesome thanks!

Where did you tap into for the boost gauge?

Hard to say...3rd gear is where you can reach full boost. Are you at WOT (Wide open throttle)? Is it still building pressure at that point? Or does it crap out and stay at 6 psi?

No it's a aftermarket gauge I tapped into the hose right near the tmic right were it 90's down. I wasn't at WOT. But it seemed like I had to get on it good to move the gauge.

Is the line crimmped or caught? You have tape on there?

Yeah I was looking at the tape also. If its a broken line or if it was too short tape won't work...you can get a coupler for less than a dollar. Or a pack of misc sizes for like 3 bucks.

You have an 05 WRX right? And is that intake manifold just powdercoated aftermarket or is it an STi IM ?

^DOH!!

Thanks, just trying to see if he has extra junk on his car that could be related to the boost issue. I know when I had my 07wrx IM ported/polished/coated it didn't match the 06 IM I sent in.
