body parts help.

So its been over a year now and I have searched and searched for a stock hood and cant find one anywhere.!Cry!:poorme:
If anybody can point me in a new direction for this ongoing hunt, please do. I look on nasioc daily but find nothing good ever. It has gotten to the point where I am just gonna have to give in and buy an aftermarket steel hood or sweet talk the kid the town over from me that he needs to let me pay for half of a new carbon hood for his car, than in return he gives me his mint Blaze yellow hood.
I dont know, maybe you guys and gals know of a site I haven't stumbled upon yet.

Thanks in advance, Randy;)

Randy the first thing I wanted to say was I dont have many good body parts left, lol after looking at your title. But as far as getting a new hood its a tough one. I was looking for one awhile ago. The best thing I had found was getting a stock one, then having to get it painted, which makes it an expensive process. You are in even more of a dilemma with having a more rare color. I will ask some people I know, see if there is something out there. Good luck with your search man.

Paint doesn't bother me, most my car could use an extreme makeover.
Thanks for helping.

I hear you on the makeover, and mine is relatively new compared to yours. And Im glad to help out a fellow subie owner.

just go order one from the dealer

BLAZE2099 03-05-2012 03:26 PM

For some reason, I just skipped right over that. Assuming the high cost.

I'm gonna give that a whirl right now. I'll check back in and inform you guys of my results.

$645.00 in primer.....OUCH!!!

Found two and I'm going to go grab them today!
Anybody know if one will fit in the back seat of a 02 WRX?

basco 03-13-2012 10:32 AM

I'm going to say probably not

wagonracer 03-13-2012 05:33 PM

One will fit in the back of a wagon. Ask me how I know ;)

basco 03-13-2012 06:49 PM

^ I know the same way you know :D

BLAZE2099 03-13-2012 07:58 PM

hahaha..I put it off till tomorrow, my STi springs came today so I opted to install my fronts. Now she sits just right;)
I'll go get my hoods tomorrow and take my caliber to get em.

BLAZE2099 03-15-2012 07:49 PM

Got both and cant complain. I cant believe how much lighter my stock hood is compaired to that POS CF hood that I got it with.

The hood(s) fit perfect in the back of my caliber, with just the 60% seat down.

Only took me a year to find one in my general area. Both in the Scranton area.
