black body molding . . .

does anyone know where i can get these pieces in platinum silver (aka - the color of the car) - - i went to the dealer to have them look it up on the computer, but the parts guy told me they only come in black - - - this is wierd since the 2005's have this piece painted to match the car's color - - - this little piece is not on the STI's - i dont even know what the heck its for, but now that i have the color matched side spoilers i wanted these to be color matched too - it will look much nicer - - - i didnt want to have to paint them myself - - - maybe the dealer just has not had its computer parts list updated yet for the 05's . . . anyone try to get these b4?

Get some color-matched paint, mask off the area, and just DIY. You'll have to sand it and prep it first though to get a good result, and you'll probably need some kind of clearcoat or sealer.... I don't think anyone makes that thing as an aftermarket painted part. I have seen at least one other person take it off, but there are two small holes in the panel then that would need to be covered up somehow.

see, i have a black sidebottom so it matches it. I agree, just try using touchup paint and clearcoat if you can find it.
