Automated Car Wash
I was gonna run the STi through the car wash the other day, but decided not to. I couldn't help but think those whirling brushes might get caught on the wing and rip it off my trunk. So I ask. Have any of you run yours through an automated car wash? How did your wing handle it?

If I run my (WRX) car thru the car wash its thru the brushless type. Its the only ones I ever use when it comes to a pinch. Usually during the winter months. I dont trust the brushes on my car and I dont even have any type of wing on my car.

I only use the touchless type. I know of someone that took thier patrol unit through one and left out quickly after an antenna that was ripped off of a previous car and stuck in the brush, beat up his windshield and lightbar on the roof, and beat the car up pretty bad.

I've never taken my WRX through an automated car wash with brushes and I never will. Automated brushless or hand-wash only for me.

Id rather not take the chances and take the time to show love to my WRX. Yes it takes alot of time but you know your not going to damage anything, and by taking your time, she will shine perfectly.

My dealership gives a free car wash with any service performed and they will only use a touchless with my car. Because they don't trust their car wash to not damage my STI wing.

Whirling bushes are for utility and work trucks, not for personal cars....bad juju...

After reading replies here I decided that hand washing is the way to go. Thanks for the replies
