OK, I am hoping that I am just unobservant, but, i noticed today that in my gauge cluster, right up under the tach, there is a red AIRBAG indicator on, I was just wondering if this is normal, Because I had never noticed this before, please help my dumb ass.:beatentod
If the air bag light is on it means that your airbags are NOT working. You most likely have a connector off. Right now, if you get into a head on you are mmeesseeddfugglemed up.
It wouldn't be the fuse since the fuse is connected to both the airbag and the ignition... Unless you car also doesn't start, then it probably is the fuse.
I checked the fuses, and yes, my car still starts fine, the light is just really bothering me, I am going to hook up the diagnostics computer to it today and see what it is, hopefully, that will be able to tell me.
Mine actually came on a few months ago and it turned out that the connecter under the passenger seat came loose. If you or anybody else looks at this it is VERY IMPORTANT that you disconnect you negative battery first! Or you could have your air bags blow out. I would check those before going to the dealership and paying a diagnostic fee.
Your car is under warranty and there is some sort of an electrical problem. I'd take it to the dealer.
