5 door tails

I find the tail lights on the 5 door a bit odd looking. They almost look like cheap aftermarket lights. Here are some photoshops I did of tail light ideas. I think I like the tinted tail light the most. They sell red and smoke vinyl that these can be achieved with but obviously the one would require bodywork.

idunno, I think a 15 dollar can of nightshades would make them all nicer. if 3 were solid red than that would be my pick!

I am assuming that is a spray? I would go for something removeable. Here is the site that sells the tints.

#3, but just do the red tint and keep the center clear. Looks good and has nice contrast vs red with a tinted center.

The 2nd, but just make the red solid on the outside. Just like the 3rd pic on the original post with the centers still clear though. We're a picky bunch.

Pic 1 = I'd dig it more if you also tinted the clear third brake light and lower red reflectors to match.

Pic 2 = Hideous.

Pic 3 = Digging this one a lot.

Pic 4 = Keep it all black or all red, not both.

Out of those, 3 gets my vote.

I'll let you know though, I had tinted stock 2007 tail lights on my car for a while and it eventually got old. I didn't like the reduced light output (especially from the reverse lights) and I actually just got tired of the look, so if you go the tinted route, use a vinyl film that would be easy to remove, not paint.

yeah, if your not too into tint, than I would defiantly agree with Kirt on this. solid red with clear centers. I think it would pop. but not so much that its on the ricey side.

I did mine just a little bit differently. I wanted the turn signals to be red as well. I also sanded the clear coat on my tails quite a bit with 2000 grit sand paper to get them a bit glossier.

How has your paint held up? Mine is faded pretty bad that I'll be redoing them in a couple months once I get all my tools out here.
