2012 WRX sedan debadged

for those of you that would like to see how your 2012 will look debadged. Process was the easiest imaginable, took 10 minutes tops.

Before.

Halfway there.

Done.

I would of kept the WRX badge but still, so much cleaner than it comes out of the factory.

You could also disassemble the Subaru oval badge and paint it yourself. I painted my background glossy black and kept the stars chrome. It's a subtle change from the blue/black imitation carbon fiber square pattern, but I like it.

I kept all the letters so I guess if some day I want to put anything back, I could I'm really liking the clean look so far, though keeping the WRX was a close second choice.

Looks great!
What chemicals did you use? Did you have to use a heat gun?

Just a standard hair dryer worked really well. I used turtle wax bug and tar remover for the goo left behind.

My car sat on the lot for about 5 months before I bought it, still came off easy with floss and a little soap and water for the small excess of glue.
