06 Front End

Was wondering if converting from a 03-05 style WRX front end to the 06-07 style would be pretty much a bolt on affair?

I'm guessing you'd need new headlights, hood, and front bumper. The lights look like they have the same curve in the fender that my gen has, but I could be wrong.

I know it would probably expensive as hell to do this, but I'm just curious how much of a PITA it would be to do it in the first place.

It's doable. It's not too bad. Fenders, hood, bumper, headlights, and some MISC stuff.

BTW,

Bugeys: 02-03
Blobeyes: 04-05
Pignose: 06-07

Just read about a guy taking his 05 STI and coverting to the 06 front end. He gave the break down of parts and part numbers actually. You will need: Headlights and brackets, front bumper, center grille, lft and right grille hood and fenders. Seems like everything just pretty much bolts right up though once you have it.

I am currently collecting parts for my bugeye to hawkeye swap. obviously, front bumper, fenders, hood, lights, are needed. Chargespeed has a kit you can buy to do this swap, not sure on the price. I believe you have to call them.

here are the parts i have, i am pretty sure i dont need any more. all bought off of /www.1stsubaruparts.com.

Radiator support, Upper tie bar $46.76
Hood striker $16.21
Hood striker lock bolt $00.47
Headlight bracket (left and right) $27.31 each
headlight Bracket Back x2 $6.94
