05 WRX and Babyseat combo

So, I have to find a bebyseat that fits better in my 05. The one that we currently have is way to large. I must have the seat all the way back to be comfrotable (can move up one spot if i absolutly HAVE too). My wife is 5'7" so she needs alot of room also. I guess I am just looking for someone who has a babyseat in there car that fits without major seat movement.

How old are the kids? From my experience, different seats don't make a difference. It's all about how big the kids are. If they are tall enough to use a booster seat then that will give you a lot more room. Car seats always seem to put there legs closer to your seat. I've had four different car seats in my WRX and I always have to move my seat. Its horrible.

He is 4 months old so I have a while before the Booster. I guess my wife will just have to cram into the front seat That should be a fun ride. Thanks for the input mfar

If he's 4 months old, then his feet don't go past the end of his car seat, right? If the actual seat is stopping you from going all the way back then maybe there are smaller car seats. I've just never had a problem with hitting the seat, it was always the kids legs that got in the way.

Oh wait. 4 months old... Is he still in one of those cradle seat things that locks into a base on your seats? Sorry I don't know what they are called.

Gunk, Im kind of in the same boat. I have a 2 year old and a 3 week old. From all the searching I have done, we kind of have to deal with it. I have yet to find an alternative. Unless you get a bigger car (which I know isnt an option, lol).

Yea there isnt a smaller infant car seat...I think at 6 or 9 months for can get the other car seat that faces forward. I have a 3 and a 1 year old in my back seat with no problems..The infant car seats are just a pain in the ass

so stock its not even funny...just kinda sad :(

Probably pulled a Brittany Spears and held them in their laps. When I was 6 or so my mother would load up up to 7 of us in the rear of her Legacy wagon and drive us to town. Funny how things change!

I just had twin boys and we have two car seats in our 09 Outback. We are crammed like sardines in the front seats. We had no choice but to put them behind each seat. We have the Graco SnugFit, and they are the smallest on the market.

I guess we'll just be crammed in our car until they are one year old and we can get them forward facing seats.

I think only a mini-van or full-size SUV would solve the problem. My neighbor has a new MDX and she had to move her passengers seat forward a lot to fit the rear-facing seats.

I've given up on getting the seats in my 05.
