05 headlight bulb question

I have an 05 and I would like to get some new bulbs. I am looking for brighter. Now is when the critters start coming across the road at night and I would like a little more warning.
Any suggestion on the brand/type of bulb. I am looking for low and high beam, maybe fogs also. I do not want a HID kit.
Thanks

So you're just looking for brighter and whiter bulbs?

Do you run DRL's? If you do, stay away from Silverstar's.

I run Philips Crystal Visions for my highs and their Diamond Vision series for my lows/fogs.

Crystal Visions give off a pure white light and more lumens than stock, which is why I run em for my highs and know I have "backup" if needed. Diamond Visions will give you a slight blue hue (HID look) but put off slightly less lumens than stock.

Maybe Crystal Visions all the way around would be what you're looking for. Philips makes quality bulbs though and they'll be no worries of melting wire harness' due to fabrication of clips and installing higher wattage non OE bulbs that offer more lumens.

I had those before my current set. Def brighter and a quality bulb but they have a slight yellow (OE) look to them. The Crystal Visions aren't AS bright but still better than stock and no yellow hue.

Crystal Visions have a blue tint on the bulb, which means while the light will be whiter, light is filtered out and output reduced in the process. Xtreme Visions will have a higher lumen output and the light will be more usable. As you got at.

I had the Crystal Vision lows/fogs before switching to Diamond Visions. By pics and Philips website they do "seem" to have a blue hue. But I installed them and took them out immediately because they were more pure white. I had my friend do a couple laps around my neighborhood and when he was approaching head on they even at times appeared yellowish from certain angles. I was very disappointed with doing so much research and looking at pics to see that after installing. The Diamond Visions appear "bright blue" or even "slightly purple" on the Philips website and pics online but I can say from personal experience that they're barely even blue at all. Not over the top 8k looking but more subtle like a 6k HID.

The X-Visions def offer the most lumens and furthest reach though OP like just mentioned by brfatal so it's all about what look you're going for that's also functional. Hense the reason I took the happy median and stayed with the Crystal Visions for my high beams.

I actually have a thread "theRIOTact's Build Thread" (hit the search box OP) that has pics of both installed in the Rex.

Thanks for the info! I am looking for brighter/whiter light. I will be using them in my DRL. I would like to replace all bulbs (high, low, fog). RIOT, I will look into the Diamond Visions.

Crystal Visions offer a more "whiter" light. Diamond Visions are more blue just a reminder...
