02 to 06 front end conversion

Is it possibly to change a 2002 wrx front end to a 2006 front end. Also what all parts would be needed.

Thanks ZRO

yes it's possible. You'd need headlights, hood, bumper, grille, front fenders, etc.

Radiator support, some brackets, and hardware (just soem other things not mentioned and still doesnt encompass the entire swap). It can, and HAS been done, but its not cheap at all unless you can do ALOT of the work yourself.

The whole front radiator may need to be swapped too, never really looked that closely.

That's the first time I've heard of anyone wanting to do this.

First reaction: WHY?!?!

A minute later: Hmm, it would look interesting. I have a feeling that swap is much more involved than a swap between the different second generation (02-07) models, but with enough time and money, it could probably be done.

After some more thought: I don't think the front lines of a third gen (08+) impreza would look good with the rest of the lines of a second gen. You're crazy, man... just crazy.

Changing anything between the 02-07 and the 08+ would not be direct.

It would be such a pain in the ass. The parts would all need to be resized. The front end of the 08+ WRX is waaaay bigger than most older ones.

But... It would most definitely be awesome looking, although I like the 06-07 front ends more myself...
