Yet another "why does my transmission grind" thread

ok I know some of this has been covered, but this is a little different.

specs:
2004 WRX 5MT
36k miles on car
16k miles on new OEM clutch(warrenty)
3k miles on Redline Gear Oil

So I put redline (from JSCSpeed WRX page, so it is the right version) in my transmission and rear diff at like 33,000 miles, I did it because I have to double clutch or stop to get into 1st gear, and it was getting kinda hard to upshift into 2nd at high RPMs.

So, at first it seemed "crisper" and better.

Well just 3,000 miles later, I have to double clutch most of the time to downshift, even if I am going like 2mph, otherwise *grind*

If I shift into 4th at about 5,000 rpm it will grind most of the time.

Ok now I know people get all defensive when you say "you suck at driving" but please TELL ME, I would love to figure out what I am doing wrong because damn this is rediculious. I bought a brand new car, raced it maybe 5 times (looong before any problems), drive it pretty gingerly day to day, get maintenence done fairly well on schedule, and it just keeps on getting more and more Effed up.

I have driven manual trans cars for like 10 years and never had any problem like this.

What can I do? Will an RA gearset even help? I have the extended warrenty... should I just complain to subaru? what would they do?

Things that I would look into would be.

Synchros.
Clutch adjustment.
Master/slave cylinders.
Air in the system.

It sounds like worn snchros, but it really could be anything. To tell you the thruth, I would go to the dealership and see what they have to say.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

As far as I knew, everyone used MT90 and a modifier. I used what you used in my rear differential... I think.

Also, one of the posts in this thread explains how what you used made his grinding worse.

That happens to me if I try to put it in first too quickly after I press on the clutch. You need to give it a second or two before you try and put it in first so the syncros have time to slow down (I think).

It should not grind when you go to first from a stop.... I would have the dealer look at it. One trick i got into the habbit of using. Is to shift into second then first even at a stand still. I used to run an old stone crusher with no first gear syncs.

I also had issues with RedLine it was the NS style. At 3k it started to grind going into first when really hot at slow speeds. I have just given up trying to shift to 1st other than at a stand still.
I have tryed for fluids
Redline 75w90 NS
Vavoline semi-syn 75w140 this really sucked left in for less than 500 miles
Vavoline Syn 75w90
Mobil 1 75w90

So far the mobil 1 has been the best. I only have 22k on the car.
All the fluids are GL-5
I would like to try MT-90 from redline but it is GL-4 Rated
