windows squeaking

Started about a week ago, and its only my front drivers window. Whenever i roll it down there is a very loud annoying screech as it rolls down. I tried putting oil in the crease , only worked for an hour. Anyone have any ideas?

Does Subaru have a fix for it?

yep, mine have done it since I got the car. It's better when the car is clean, but not for long.

mine did it the day I bought it and has since. the best part is when you clean the windows...roll em down...roll em back up and see a nice f'ing streak from where it rubs the felt/rubber piece as it goes up/down.

it's normal.

I agree on the streak after washing. It's always the first thing I want to do after I wash since the inside of the car is usually too hot, or I want to cruise around in my clean car and be able to see/hear people and the car.

well i found a solution to our problem. My friend had the great idea of taking a few thin soft velcrow strips in between the two rubber seals in the front of the window. We stuck a few 6 inch strips inside both seals, using our fingers and some tweezers, and all squeakage is gone! 5 minute diy for anyone who hates that damn sound.
