What hose is missing in this picute

Working on an 06 WRX, my friend just bought. The previous owner had a lot of bolt on mods and a tune; so I was asked to inspect what was done.

After removing the TMIC, I noticed TWO OPEN HOSE PORTS.

I don't see a lot of 06+ Subarus so I had to call Subaru Part--I gave them the part numbers and nothing came up. I sent the pics to their Subaru Tech & he didn't know either.

So now I ask you the community: Is there supposed to be a hose on these two solenoids and is this a mod?

That's the secondary air pump, I'm not aware of any mods that have to do with that. Full shop manual for that car can be found here for free (takes a few minutes to download)
Impreza Manuals | ken-gilbert.com

You'll be able to see how it's supposed to be plumbed in there

Thanks for the info, but I only see manuals for the 06 WRX---I'm I looking in the wrong place? The engine bay setup is very different for the 06, hence why I have the problem... Please reply with which manual you refer to and the page number.

TY

The '06 manual is listed as Impreza, not WRX. The WRX engine is always listed as H4DOTC. Anyway, it looks like you found what I did already. People are deleting those stupid things, as their function is really just to heat up the cat on start-up (for like 90 secs)

If the car you are working on, isn't showing DTCs pointed at either the pump or the valve, I'd just block 'em off and move on. There's more info here:
