Weird noise at 2800 rpm

So when I'm driving and my car hits about 2800 rpm there's a weird squealing noise coming from the front of the engine. I thought belts so I replaced them and it didn't go away. But I noticed on my a/c belt tensioner the tensioner had a Lot of play in it like in the bearing. Also on the p/s and alternator belt the p/s pulley had sone play in it also. Could it be coming from either of those or maybe possibly timing chain issue?

Take the AC belt off and see if it still does it. If it doesn't, it's your compressor.

Check back.

Timing belt possibly but that's a bold statement for me to say... How many miles are on the car? Close to 105K?

You would notice drivability issues if the timing belt was going.

Does it do it under load only or can you hear it when in neutral in a garage?

Try tightening the belts a bit. My A/C pulley was squealing occasionally when I changed my belts, but I didn't have them tight enough at first. Your belts might have stretched and loosened a bit before you changed them... I'm guessing that's what your issue is.

Yeah, I actually re-read his post after I initially responded. You really sort of have to crank on the tensioners until the belts have about an inch or less of play along the longest straight length of each one or something like that. I apologize for that extremely technical description

It does it in neutral anytime when the car is revved to 2800. It's so embarrassing driving around with it!!! I looked at it further and noticed the p/s pump pulley has sone play but idk if that could be it. And I loosened and retightened the belts and still does it. I hope it's not the timing belt. :S but I'm running out of ideas of what else it could be. It started after I was gone for 3 weeks and the car just sat If that helps at all.

Could be the tensioners and pulleys. What mileage are you at?

I wouldn't worry about it being the timing belt then.
