Weird Brake Noise

Hey guys i just got the wrx washed and started to drive home and the brakes started to sound funny . Its hard to explain but it sounds like a brake booster diaphram engaging and dis engaging when i press and depress the brake pedal. The pedal feel is the same and as far as i can tell the caliper clamping load is the same but every time i let off the pedal i hear a click.
What the hell is going on , and i think my warranty has just expired and all i have left is the powertrain .
Any ideas what it is

Probably caused by water being where it is not supposed to be. Give it overnight for the water to evaporate and listen for it again.

yep just did that and the noise was coming from the pads cause they were down pretty far and were sticking to the rusted spots on the rotor. got new pads and the problem is gone.

nice... last weekend my brakes started going out and started squealing, but those were the fronts (still need to change those pads) but there is no serious threat to the fronts, but then all of a sudden my rears started grinding the rear rotors when i was slowing down (at really low speeds -10mph) So i changed them the next day after i heard them grinding, and thankfully there was no damage done to the rotors, got away lucky, like you did!
