baller I did that and only heard injector noise that I know other wrxs have. Its only loud when there is a load (not revving in neutral). Alpha I plugged it with my hand and had a buddy check it out for me and no leaks could be found. To throw salt in the wound, I had an 07 STI driver (spoided high schooler....sophmore....which upsets me) ask me about it this morning after hearing it. He said he had the same thing after installing an invidia TBE and it went away after installing a bcs????? How does that work lol. Ill post that vid for ya when I get to it baller

If it's wg flutter, it's ok. It's basically your boost control doing it's job. I will tell you this though, if you're going to run higher than stock boost levels I would upgrade solenoids. I've been eyeballing the Grimmspeed 3 port myself, if you're looking for recommendations.

Remember, you'll have to get tuned for an upgraded solenoid as your wg duty tables will be off and you will overboost if you don't retune.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

Hope you guys realize that all 3 port BCSs are basically the same. The biggest difference is how the ports are configured. Operation is essentially the same. The cheapest route for a 3 port is a GM BCS and pigtail for about $75.

OK thanks for the info. Ill ###### go with the grimmspeed one. But I still dont quite understand how it is causing my ticking issue. Did you guys hear it in the first vid? Talked to a guy in the neighborhood with a heavily modded eclipse that he road races all around the mid-west. I let him hear it and he said he had no clue. It sounds like my 71 olds did when it had a header leak. But that didnt go away after 2k rpm lol.

What RPM are you hitting boost at? If it seems higher than appropriate, it might be that the wastegate is fluttering. You can fix it by tightening the wastegate arm a couple turns

without driving it (im feeling lazy right now) I think boost comes on at about 2700. Secong gear is weird for me for some reason. I hear the turbo hissing at about 2700, then the noise stops until about 3200 and I hear it hissing again.

OK Im gonna take it to a different dealer tomorrow afternoon. The guy in service said they are a mod-friendly shop (he drives an 06 sti with aftermarket everything) and my exhaust system won't void out my warranty. This ticking is sooooo friggin irritating!

update: well for anyone who's car sounds like mine in the vid at low rpms....it might be a blown up-pipe gasket. That's what it turned out to be. Dealer fixed it and it sounds normal now. Still ticks a little, but not more than my friend's 06.....I guess a little ticking is normal with a downpipe. That's what the tech told me at Subaru. He said it's flutter right before boost

Ive had a blown uppipe gasket before, it sounds horrible, although I couldn't tell from the video. I know only put the oem gaskets or the grimmspeed OEM style gaskets to prevent gasket issues.

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty
