tt install help please

i have been researching this for bout a week now on many diff forums and i keep coming up with road blocks.

i have an 06wrx tr and i bought the apexi tt with the a/f reading, 02 reading, volt meter, it is also the auto timer. it came with the hks harness i believe since i have found that is the only harness that fits our cars.

the tt itself has three colored wires coming of the module box.

grey wire
white wire with red stripes
black wire with red stripes

i have found that the grey wire goes to the ebrake green wire.

i do not know where the other two wires are supposed to plug into. i know that they go to the ecu*****but what wires specifically do i tap into on the ecu with the other two wires???***

i have researched and found the ecu diagram to the 06wrx turbo, but i do not know how to read it or where the wires are leading to on the diagram. there is also no pin diagram to tell me which one is which. all the other post about the tt install are about the alarm or to some other matter then just the install itself, so if i could please have some help, pics or details on which two wires i must tap in to on the ecu?

also is the timer supposed to already turn on if i have plugged in the harness with the tt???

thank you a head of time for any help that is given!!!

those are your ground wires man, or atleast they should be... ground them to the same place and it will work fine. thats how my blitz TT is. the e-brake switch is a PITA to ge to huh? i took the whole ebrake handle out.

mine was actually pretty easy, once i took off the center consoul sourounding the ebrake the wire was right there and just spliced in to it.

thank you for ## help i will be trying to do that today. do you know of a good grounding location under the dash???

There was a metal bar right underneath my dash, bellow the steering column. you cant miss it. I don't know if its the best ground possible. but Ive been running my hks tt with no problems at all.

I crimp and solder "eye" hooks on the ends of the wire. I then look for a bolt that's on an unpainted surface and slide it under the bolt.

ok, so it works but not all features work, i have found that one of the two wires that i grounded is the o2 sensor wire, they say i need to splice that in to my ecu

What does the o2 sensor read, and it is important to have???

does anyone know what pin on the ecu is the o2 sensor wire???

It's not important. Every reading you get won't help you whatsoever. You need a wideband O2 reading for it to be useful, and that requires a while mess of stuff.

awesome thanks, i will not worry bout that, the only other thing i would want to work on the tt timer is the auto timer function, i am not sure how to get it to work or if i need to activate it or what.

thanks for your help

I never learned how to get it to work. I just use the timer setting.
