strange noise at high speeds

tonight while cruising at a very great deal of speed which i will not mention for the sake of forum rules....a strange whisteling noise started growing louder and louder as the speed increased...it was not wind, that i am sure of...i wish i had more info but thats all i have for now, it seems like it was coming from the turbo (18g)....any ideas??? i should mention that the car was pulling very strongly and i didnt feel resistance whatsoever

What about them black wheel arch goodies inside the front fender wings?

I hit a good amount of speed and its just turbo rush, when I hit the brake pedal it sounded like a helicopter was on my roof

Only to find two of my plastic screw caps that hold the liner inplace went amiss, and with the
clearance the coilovers now give this rubbed on the wheel.

anyhow, back to your point.

Is it within the cabin or engine bay?

More than likely just a piece of tape on the inside of the side view mirrors....just fold the mirror back and take a look

no, this was a very pronounced sound coming from the engine bay, around where the turbo is located.....now wuts there that could make such a noise? its deff not an exhaust leak, could it be a boost leak? i mean even the smallest leak would make a nice sound at 21 psi which is what i was reaching last night

I see you have a BOV- I'm guessing it was a boost leak at the BOV.

maybe you're mistaking this for a turbo spool wistling sound at the extra legal speed. More load=harder working turbo...

drive = freedom
