strange noise.

I own a 04 WRX. Sometimes after i have driven the car and parked it, with the engine off the car makes this high pitch hum or whistle...i think its the fuel pump...but i aint sure...hit me back if you know.
Rob.
P.S.i do live in montreal, could it be the cold weather?

Is the key in the ignition and in the ON position when this happens?

if the key is in the on position the fuel pump will kick on. i think thats what he means by that. also try reseting the em. my dakota started clicking the cruise control and i reset the em and it all stoped.
