Stock Wastegate causing boost issues???
I have an 04 STi I bought used. It has a downpipe, catback, intake and HKS SSQV. The car was running about about 17 Psi Boost at max boost give or take a pound or 2 for spikes.
Recently the car started acting up. The boost started to intermittently revert back to 10 PSi Max. Now the boost is permanently at max 10 Psi with a bit of a spike to 12Psi at max RPM.
1. Is 10 Psi the stock waste gate setting for an 04 STi?
2. Does anyone know if this is a stock boost stabilizer issue?
3. Has anyone else had the same problem?
