Shift Light Install ???

I just got my shift light I ordered in the mail and the instructions say to wire the green wire to the negative side of the coil... but the only problum is im not sure where to wire it to. I beleve I found the coil under the Intercooler? but there does not aprear to be anywhere to connect a wire to so I am kind of lost????? Thank you so much if you know my problum because My car is kinda sitting there with no intercooler on it ....

the coils are on the sides of the motor, on top of the plugs.
I dont know if this is where you need to tap in, because there are four coils you would have an rpm signal 1/4 what it really is at each coil.
you could locate the tach wire on the ECU harness, maybe that would work?
I'm sure sombody out there has installed one and will chime in with a definate answer for you!

Yea I took apart my guage cluster and Hooked up the signal wire to the green wire on the stock tack plug. I was just guessing but it seemed like a good idea and it worked perfect. So if anyone puts a shift light in I know how to install it now...
