rear diff temp light on. best fix ideas?

hopefully this is in the right forum section. my 2008 STI threw the rear diff temp light and i looked under there to see what was going on and it looks like the wire has just totally broken off from the sensor plug. should i try to mend that wire and put some electrical shrink tube stuff and tape over it or do you guys have a better idea?

If you are mending a wire in a high stress area I would use the NASA solder method, strip about an .5 inches from wither side of the break, wrap the wires around each other in a western union style, use quality flux paste and a clean solder, cover with heat shrink tubing and cover the whole line in a protective sheathing like nylon wrap or thermal wrap. If that doesnt solve the problem you can always replace the sensor but soldering the line is the quick fix.

hope that helps
