Unhappy Rattling noise

There seems to be a rattling noise when i let off the gas. I am not sure if it is the transmission or the heat shield. Someone help me...please!

sleepr blu,
Scoobs are renowned for noisy heat shields so i'd say remove heat shield, run until hot and see if noise is still present, is the noise a proper rattle(as in loose bolt noise) or is it more of a knocking noise, if it is then check your rear centre bush mounts( the two that look at you when you look at your suspension housing) as these are allways going on scoobs as they are rubber to metal ( better on 2003 onwards!!!),
Hope you get sorted mate,
Paul
