Problem with Boost

Hi I'm new to the forum and i'm on a couple of other Subaru forums and my name is Jimmy and im from Indianapolis and have an 07 Wrx with a td05-16g running 22 psi. Im running 322whp and 342wtq as of right now. So Bluescooby wagon tuned my car and did a great job. We put my 50/50 bov in and noticed that it was over boosting. There was a boost leak from the old bov so now its running less duty cycles and has gained 3 psi over the top end. Its holding the boost a lot better and its much more efficient. The problem is sometimes when I hit close to or at red line my car will bog down the next gear and it doesn't feel like its hitting boost as well and I can tell my car is making a different sound which sounds almost like a honda until I hear a tick and then everything is back to normal. It could last anywhere from 5 seconds to 15 minutes till I hear that tick then I get the power back. I was thinking it could be the wastegate itself but i'm not quite sure. Any ideas?

Which BOV? It could be a crappy BOV. Full recirculation is how the car was designed to work.
