possible clutch problem???

Okay, I recently purchased my first wrx. Its a 2002 with 67,000 miles. The place I bought it from replaced the clutch a few days before selling it to me. There are a couple of mods done to it. Turbo back exhaust (aps), cold air intake (aps), bov (aps), and a chip (unichip ECU). Im new to the turbo but let me try to explain what I am noticing....

It seems like my clutch is "slipping" in 3rd, 4th, or most noticeably 5th gear. This happens NOT when I'm shifting, but if I give the car enough gas to the point where the turbo spools and my boost builds up. Basically when the turbo kicks in my car seems to rev up, but not accelerate as much as it revs. Sorry its kind of hard to explain. This happens at about 3-4000 rpms. Once the car revs Ill let off the gas enough to the point where the rpms come back down and the car seems to engage again.

Again the entire clutch was replaced and I've only had the car for 2 weeks. I'm not terribly worried only due to the fact that i have an extended warranty. But I do want to take care of the problem. The dealer I bought it from seems to be taking care of me (a few other minor things like fixing a couple rock chips etc...) so Im sure that I can get it fixed. Has anybody experienced the same problem?? Maybe it's something completely different than the clutch?? What could be causing the problem?? Thanks for any help!!

Take it back and have them fix it.That is the normal tell-tale sign of a worn clutch. If they claimed they just replaced it maybe they did something wrong or didn't replace it at all.Ask to see the paperwork for the clutch repair/parts.

Dude I took mine back to the place I bought it and demanded the clutch be replaced. The guy said "oh you just aren't used to the subaru clutch.." I told him that I'm no mechanic but Im not an absolute idiot either. They then looked at the car and told me there was a "malfunction" in the clutch which I take to mean that they never even put a new clutch in before I bought the car. The clutch works good but now I get a strange buzzing sound from my clutch pedal when shifting on a load. Prob the throw out bearing or something... Any ideas anyone?? Boober if your clutch is slipping at all then you prob need to get it checked out. Might be time to get a new one.

LOLZ. Must have been a small dealer.

Anyway, my clutch started doing this as soon as I got tuned for 18psi and catless. Couldn't get past 9psi without slip. If your car is doing this, replace it. That's pretty much your only option.

The vibration sounds like it could be the throwout bearing. Take it to your local Subaru dealer or a reputable transmission shop, explain what's going on and what happened originally. They may tell you that you'll have to replace the clutch. If that's the case, bring up the LEMON LAW to the dealer if your state has it. Have them pay to replace the clutch but at YOUR shop.

ya my car has been feeling like the boost is fluctuating in 2nd and 3rd when accelerating but it may be the clutch...idk....maybe just boost fluctuating since im not at wot im at like 70% throttle. and my rmps dont rise up quickly or anything. this only happens low in the rpm range, its like bumpy as the turbo spools up basically?

also i put my car in 4th gear at like 20mph and floored it and there is no slipping
