possessed tape deck

I have an 02 wrx with a stock 6 disc/tape player and today everything quit working except the tape is still going i can't get it to switch to cd or radio and even when the car is off the tape deck still runs i disconnected the battery and luckily that stops it but with the battery on even pulling the fuse doesn't stop the deck. i don't know what could cause this but any help would be great.

Time to get w/the times with the stereo (a tape ?? ) Wow, you were actually using it ? Kidding. Take the deck out reset it, if it has that function. If not it's probably just old.
