P1446

Ok, so I searched the forums for this but haven't found an answer.

Here's what happened. I installed a catless downpipe on a friends 02 WRX, flashed in a basic stage 2 tune through OpenECU. Took it out for a drive, CEL came on for P1446.

What is it, what could cause it and can I just tune it out?

fuel tank sensor control valve circuit low... I am not sure if it is caused by your downpipe install--you have to make sure all the wires/connectors are intact. If everything is fine, then it is the sensor. The sensor is a pain to get to, so it might be easier to turn it off in romraider. But I just looked at an 02 and 03 maps and p1446 is not listed...

Try flashing another stage 2 map or flashback to stock and see if the CEL comes back. Also double check and make sure it's the right map and always use a map that is of the latest Subaru revision. For the 02 it is the A4SGE01C (AF426)

Wouldn't happen to have a link to that tune? On Enginuity, I have the ability to disable it in Enginuity but I'd rather do this the right way rather than a quick fix. My buddy will probably be bringing the car over tonight or tomorrow so any help is appreciated.

You shouldn't have the ability to disable it for an 02.The 02 WRX does not have that sensor. The 03 does.Sounds like you might have the wrong ROM.

Yeah, I did have the wrong one. Didn't realize it at first but I went ahead and changed the stock map (saved a copy first) to what I needed. Soon as he gets here, I'll reflash him. He'll be pretty happy about that.

Also, downloaded ROMraider 0.5.0 since Enginuity is no more.
