Its what we should all be here for. To help each other out. So, I hope you figure out if it has a tune on it and can remedy it through Cobb if it does. GL

Funny was packing my bags for my deployment and ran across Surgelines number:508-670-9500. You could probably give them a call and they could be of great help also. Tim seldom answers phones, but Nick does and hes a great knowledgeable guy also.

Alright. Thanks a lot guys. I'm going to clear that code tonight, and try to get in touch with Cobb. I'll let you know how I make out.

I talked to a shop near me, and they said for $35 they can scan my ECU and tell me if I have a tune or not, and if it is locked. So I am going to drive out there soon, and in the meantime I cleared the CEL code and will see what happens. Thanks again guys! You've been a big help.

Nothing to report really. I cleared the CEL and haven't had a problem since then. I don't know yet if my ECU is locked, but I'm pretty sure it has a tune. I know someone who has an AccessPort that I can plug into my car, and that should tell me if it is locked. Now I'm just working on getting money for a boost controller, tune, and some other stuff.

Hmm....i think their AP would only be able to clear codes and maybe log? It might let you look at what map is loaded on the ECU. Not sure....Assuming their AP is married to their car.

Yeah, I think it would have to be unmarried from your friend's car in order to tell you anything useful.

You can read CELs, and do live data, no logging unless they changed it. If he unmarries it from his car so you can try and marry it to yours that would answer your question about the ECU being locked.

Well about a year and half ago my buddy had a CEL on his 06, but he had some type of flash done (not sure if it was tatrix or what) so I plugged mine in and read the CEL that was all it would do as far as that. Then we took a drive with mine plugged in to try and "monitor" it since he had no gauges. It would read all parameters, but not long any. And just for sh!ts and giggles we tried to flash his after I unmarried mine, but his ECU was locked by his previous tune. So Im kind of speaking from experience, but I havent updated or looked for updates since then.

The AP that my friend has shouldn't be married to any car. He doesn't own a Suby; he owns a shop and said he has an AP just laying around.
