Oil Pressure Question/Problem

Hey guys,
I've had my STi for 4 weeks now. It has a turboback, short ram, and blitz sbc-id BC.....all of which I bought with the car as it was used. My oil pressure was fine up until this past weekend. I was running about 1.6bar at idle and 6bar when driving. Well I went on a 200 mile trip on Sunday and when i got there the warning buzzer was going off (1.4 bar) at idle and it was running about 5.5bar at speed. I checked the oil and it was a little low. So I added a quart. That didnt seem to help. Well I completely changed the oil on Monday. 5 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic hoping to fix the problem. But now I'm running about 1.2 bar at idle and 5bar at speed. I have no idea what's going on.

Any suggestions?

thanks,
Tim

Kobiyashi is more helpful than not
Change the oil + filter and let me know how that worked out. Most of the time its from burning up oil (ex. the trip) All turbocharged cars eat a little bit, and if not changed very frequently can loose enough for a pressure drop.

did you change from standard to sythetic, or was your car always running the synthetic?

Maybe your reflash or whatever you decide to do with engine management will fix it up. Then again I could be wrong
