noise in front left wheel area

Sorry if topic wasnt writen right

i have a 03 wrx wagon i have been noticeing a noise coming from my front left side wheel.
sounds like there is a branch stuck on there or tie-rod moving around i checked to see if ther was something stuck wedged in there nothing to be found but i did not check the tie-rod. This sound is only made when moving really slow 1-10mph then goes away when speeding up nothing heard again till i stop and go.

has anyone had this same problem or anything like it...

check for loose lug nuts...I had two lug nuts (next to each other) that were loose on a front wheel and the sound it made while driving at low speeds sounded like the strut was shifting in its perch (but was actually the wheel slightly shifting on the hub).

...If it's not lug nuts, then it would also help if you could identify the noise specifically, like a screech, a clunk, a tap, whine, howl, crunch, etc. Does the noise repeat with the same frequency as the wheel turning, or only once whenever the car's weight shifts from side-to-side or front-to-back or back-to-front?

Ok so I just went for a drive and thought I would listen to see where the noise is coming from well its not the front left wheel its the rear left and sounds like something is draging on the ground or clunking back there...the noise goes away once you get going faster.....

it happened to me before too,but it was my rear left or right rotor that was dirty so i had it cleaned out.another time the noise came from the engine when i thought it was coming from the rotor, part of the engine was touching the heat shield so the shop had to bent the heat shield to stop the rattling noise.

If it's coming from the rear diff, you may have some issues. Can't say I know what could be going on. The sound isn't coming only on a hard shift, right? If that's the case, it's pretty much normal in those circumstances. Aside from that, I dunno.

i think that first gear clunking noise you are talking about is the sound of when you let the clutch out and makes that sound when your gears are under load. i know when i had my 03 wrx had the same thing. they all do that if that's what im thinking of.

i dont think it's a problem. first gear on the wrx is a little rough compared to most cars. just takes a little getting used to and try letting out of the clutch a little slower, it wont happen as bad.

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty
