Hi,

I have a 05 wrx wagon with 50k on it. I've started to have a slow but serious problem with it tho! (I have no major mods, stock to the T other then exhaust placed on by previous owner, has ran fine for the time I have owned it and I've placed about 7500 mi on it)

Best way to describe the action is when I'm pressing the accelerator while driving its like the car hits an RPM point (varying every time) and then loses all acceleration power. I can shift gears and then continue to accelerate but it seems their is a limit well before red line where it loses its power to the wheels and then the RPMs just shoot right up to almost red line if i were to choose to continue to press on it.

Any ideas before I just take it into the dealer? =/

Sounds like a clutch engagement problem, maybe your flywheel is shot. Let's hope it's not the tranny.
